Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: January 2025

1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling or using any services provided by British Quran Academy, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all students, parents, guardians, and website visitors. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or submit an enquiry.

British Quran Academy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms or whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the safe, respectful learning environment we strive to maintain.

2. Services Provided

British Quran Academy provides online, one-to-one educational classes in Quran recitation, Tajweed, Hifz (memorisation), Noorani Qaida, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, and selected academic subjects. All classes are delivered live via video conferencing platforms chosen by the Academy, such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype, according to tutor and student availability.

The Academy makes reasonable efforts to match each student with a tutor appropriate to their age, level, language, and learning goals. While we aim to maintain consistent tutor assignments, we reserve the right to change a tutor if necessary due to scheduling, availability, or operational requirements.

3. Enrolment & Registration

A free trial class is available to all new students and must be booked through our website or WhatsApp. The trial class is provided without charge and is intended to assess the student's level, learning needs, and compatibility with online instruction.

Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of the first monthly payment. Parents or guardians must provide accurate and complete information at registration, including the student's full name, age, contact details, country, timezone, and any relevant learning requirements. Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of classes.

4. Fees & Payment Terms

Monthly fees are charged according to the selected plan (Weekend, 3 Days Per Week, or Monday–Friday) and the number of classes scheduled. Fees are due in advance on the agreed date each month, as confirmed during enrolment.

Failure to make payment on time may result in the suspension of classes until the outstanding balance is cleared. The Academy reserves the right to review and adjust fees from time to time, with reasonable notice given to enrolled families.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

To cancel enrolment, the parent or guardian must provide at least seven (7) days' written notice via email or WhatsApp. Cancellation is effective from the date the notice is received and acknowledged by the Academy.

Unused classes in the current paid month are non-refundable if the cancellation notice is received after seven (7) days from the start of that billing period. The free trial class is provided free of charge and is therefore non-refundable.

6. Code of Conduct

All students, parents, and guardians are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards tutors and Academy staff. Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

The Academy reserves the right to terminate a student's enrolment immediately, without refund, for serious or repeated misconduct. In such cases, any outstanding fees remain payable.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, lesson plans, worksheets, slides, recordings, and content provided by British Quran Academy are the exclusive property of the Academy and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These materials are provided solely for the enrolled student's personal educational use.

Recording, copying, distributing, or reproducing any class or course material without the Academy's prior written consent is strictly prohibited. Violation of this clause may result in legal action and immediate termination of services.

8. Limitation of Liability

British Quran Academy is not liable for class interruptions, delays, or cancellations caused by external factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, power failures, platform downtime, or equipment failure on the student's side.

The Academy's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall be limited to the amount paid by the student for the month in which the issue occurred. We do not accept liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

9. Privacy & Data

We collect and process personal data only as necessary to provide our educational services and communicate with students and families. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

For full details on how we handle personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

British Quran Academy reserves the right to update, amend, or replace these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

We encourage parents and guardians to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
