Attendance Policy

Last Updated: January 2025

Overview

Regular attendance is essential for consistent progress in Quran learning. Our attendance policy is designed to encourage discipline while remaining reasonable and family-friendly.

Class Attendance Expectations

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes according to their chosen plan. Being present, on time, and prepared with the Qaida or Mushaf is the single biggest factor in a child's progress.

Missed Classes Without Notice

Classes missed without at least 24 hours' prior notice will be considered completed and will not be rescheduled or refunded. Tutors block that time slot exclusively for the student, so it cannot be reallocated at the last minute.

Missed Classes With Notice

If you notify us at least 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp, we will apply your monthly rescheduling allowance where possible. See our Rescheduling Policy for full details.

Repeated Absences

If a student misses multiple classes without notice within a single month, we will contact the parent to check whether the schedule needs to be adjusted. Continued unexplained absences may result in the plan being paused or withdrawn.

Why Regular Attendance Is Essential

Quran learning is cumulative — every letter, ruling of Tajweed, and memorised verse builds on the previous one. Students who attend consistently make measurable progress within weeks, while those with frequent gaps often have to repeat lessons, slowing their journey and reducing motivation.

Consistent attendance also builds a strong bond between student and tutor, allowing the tutor to fine-tune teaching methods to the child's individual pace and personality.
