Technical Issues Policy

Last Updated: January 2025

Overview

Online learning depends on stable internet, working devices, and reliable video-conferencing software. British Quran Academy makes every reasonable effort to ensure smooth sessions, but occasional technical issues can affect either side.

Issues on the Tutor's Side

If a class is disrupted due to a problem on the tutor's side — internet failure, power cut, device malfunction, or Zoom/Google Meet issue — the missed portion will be rescheduled at no extra cost at a time convenient for the student.

Resolution process: the tutor will notify our support team, we will contact you on WhatsApp within a few hours, and we will offer replacement slots. You do not lose the class.

Issues on the Student's Side

If the student experiences technical problems that prevent them from attending or completing the class, we will do our best to accommodate. However, if the tutor is available and waiting for the full class duration, the session will be considered completed.

Resolution process: please message us on WhatsApp as soon as an issue occurs. In genuine emergencies (extended outages, device failure), we will use your monthly rescheduling allowance to make the class up.

Recurring Technical Problems

If you experience repeated technical issues, please contact us. We can suggest solutions, adjust class timings to better internet windows, or, in rare cases, offer a temporary pause to your plan.

What We Recommend

  • Test your internet connection before class
  • Use a device with a working camera and microphone
  • Keep Zoom or Google Meet updated to the latest version
  • Have a backup device (e.g. mobile phone) ready if possible
